Original evidence and ElecTrace's contribution

ElecTrace compiles this UK planning database by selecting, grouping and annotating public project evidence. The original findings, announcements and documents are attributed to their publishers. Developer material, planning and government records, news reporting and directories carry different evidential weight; inclusion of a link is not an endorsement or confirmation of every claim it contains.

This release publishes derived research records and links to the original material. It does not republish a source-document archive or claim ownership of third-party text, images, maps or databases. No new open licence is granted over those materials. Their publishers' rights and applicable terms continue to apply.

The project and capacity evidence cutoff is 22 September 2026. The geographic supplement was assembled on 14 October 2026. A source link may change after those dates. Capacity claims retain their own source references on each project page; geographic references below support location, not planning status or electrical connectivity. Map and geographic data

Natural Earth

The country basemap is adapted from Natural Earth, 1:10m Admin 0 countries. Natural Earth releases its map data into the public domain; see its terms of use. The basemap supplies geographic context, not project boundaries.

GeoNames

Locality coordinates use the GeoNames UK gazetteer, accessed on 14 October 2026, under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. ElecTrace selected place-name matches and used their coordinates as approximate locality representatives; these derived matches are not GeoNames assertions about data-centre sites. Individual GeoNames records are linked below. See also GeoNames sources and attribution.

Postcodes.io and underlying postcode data

Postcode centroids were obtained through Postcodes.io on 14 October 2026. Its software licence is separate from the terms governing postcode data. Postcodes.io identifies Ordnance Survey, Royal Mail, National Statistics and National Records of Scotland among the underlying providers. Their published 2025 notices retain Crown and Royal Mail copyright and database rights.

Great Britain and Northern Ireland postcode data have different reuse conditions. Refer to Postcodes.io's licences and attribution notices and the underlying data terms when reusing coordinates. The database does not grant a blanket licence over these inputs. Postcode centroids are approximate geographic references, not verified sites.
