TERMS · AI USE
AI use of ElecTrace content
Search engines and AI assistants may retrieve, quote and cite every ElecTrace page. Brand pages may also be used to train models. The detailed method, database and data pages may not be used to train or fine-tune models, or to build or extend a dataset, without written permission.
Allowed on every page
- Indexing the page for search.
- Fetching the page while answering a person’s question (retrieval, grounding and AI search summaries), quoting from it and linking to it.
Brand pages: also allowed for model training
//trace/compute/demo/llms.txt/terms/ai
Method, database and data pages: not for model training
These paths, and everything under them, may be read, quoted and cited, but not used to train or fine-tune a model or to build or extend a dataset:
/compute/wiki/compute/uk-data-centres/methodology/data/
The full database files under /data/uk-data-centres/ are for people to download and cite; automated bulk collection is not permitted.
How this is stated for machines
- robots.txt allows every crawler on the whole site except the full database files, declares
Content-Signal: search=yes, ai-input=yes, and keeps these training-only crawlers out of the method, database and data paths: GPTBot, ClaudeBot, Applebot-Extended, meta-externalagent, Amazonbot, CCBot, Bytespider. - /.well-known/tdmrep.json reserves text and data mining rights for the same paths and links to this page.
- The database’s Dataset structured data names this page as its licence.
Source evidence
The UK Data Centre Planning Database links to the original publishers of its evidence. Their material remains theirs; this page grants no rights over it. See Sources & citation for how to cite the database.
